I don’t know anything (help me)

The fastest path (3 steps)
1) Measure bust 2) Measure waist 3) Measure hips Then pick a style
Simple checklist
  • You measured bust, waist, and hips.
  • Your tape was snug, not tight.
  • If you are between sizes: wedding dresses usually fit smaller, so size up, then tailor.

If something feels off, go to Fixes. We tell you exactly what to change.

Size Finder

Wedding dress sizing (super simple)
  • Bust is the fullest part of your chest.
  • Waist is the smallest part of your middle.
  • Hips is the fullest part of your hips/seat.

Wedding dresses often run smaller than everyday clothes. If you are between sizes, pick the bigger size and tailor.

1) Pick system 2) Pick bust 3) Pick waist 4) Pick hips 5) Tap button

Option A: Use measurements (best)

No tape measure?

Use a string. Wrap, mark it, then measure that length with a ruler.

Option B: I know my regular size already

Pick your everyday size system and size. We show a safe bridal starting size (usually 1–2 sizes up) + all conversions.

Important bridal rule

If your bust/waist/hips are in different sizes, buy the dress to fit the largest area, then tailor the rest.

Fit Rules

The 6 easy bridal fit rules

  • It must breathe: you can sit and hug without pain.
  • Waist should not “pinch”: comfort first (photos look better).
  • Bust should lie smooth: no pulling lines, no gaping.
  • Hips matter for fitted styles: mermaid/trumpet/sheath need hip room.
  • Length can be tailored: do not panic about hem length.
  • Tailoring is normal: most bridal looks are finished by alterations.
Between sizes = size up Biggest area wins Tailor the rest

How to measure (super easy)

Bust
Tape around the fullest part of your chest. Keep it level.
Waist
Tape around the smallest part of your waist. Snug, not tight.
Hips
Tape around the fullest part of your hips/seat. Keep it level.
Wear the right base
Measure over thin clothes or underwear. Heavy clothes change numbers.

Built-in cups
Some dresses have cups inside. Great for comfort, but fit must be correct.
Slit
Adds movement and a modern vibe. Make sure you can sit comfortably.
Back styles
Low back, open back, illusion back, button back. Choose what feels secure.
Sleeves
Cap sleeves, long sleeves, detachable sleeves, puff sleeves. Great for coverage and style.
Train options
Sweep, chapel, cathedral, royal. Detachable trains are the easiest for dancing.

Fixes

Pick your issue. We tell you what to do.

It’s tight at the bust
Size up, or choose a style with more support/structure. Tailors can adjust small amounts, but not miracles.
It’s tight at the waist
Waist is the hardest to alter bigger. If between sizes, buy bigger and tailor down.
It’s tight at the hips
Very common for mermaid/trumpet/sheath. Size up or choose A-line/ball gown for easier hips.
The top is gaping
Try a smaller size in the bust area, or add cups/padding, or adjust straps. Tailoring usually fixes this easily.
Strapless keeps slipping
You need stronger structure (corset/boning) and the correct snug fit at the bust and waist.
The hem is too long
Normal. Hemming is expected. Decide your shoes first, then hem.
The train is too much
Add a bustle (buttons/hooks to lift the train) or choose detachable train/overskirt.

FAQ

Should I buy my exact size?
If you are between sizes, size up. Bridal fit is usually smaller. Tailoring makes it perfect.
What if bust/waist/hips are different sizes?
Buy the size that fits the largest area, then tailor down the others.
What is the safest silhouette?
A-line. It is flattering, comfortable, and works for almost any venue.
Do I need shapewear?
Not required. Some fabrics (satin/crepe) look smoother with it. Comfort first.
